The Atomic Bible

Are science and scripture mutually exclusive? Yes, according to popular culture. But creation scientists abound who hold the counter-culture argument that science supports scripture, and they have ample evidence to prove it. Here's one example.
Read Hebrews 11, verse 3: "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
In other words, "things which are seen" - trees, rocks, dogs, people - are made of invisible things, or things which do not appear. When this was written nearly 2000 years ago faith was certainly required to believe it. Today anyone who has taken middle school chemistry understands this to be true. In class we learned that all matter consist of atoms - "things which do not appear."
This is astounding when you think about it. The atom, the basic building block of all matter, was discovered less than two centuries ago. Yet somehow the author of Hebrews knew it existed two millennia ago! It lends some credence to the claim that all scripture is God breathed, don't you think? Rest assured, there are other scientific examples; but let's stick with the atom for now and see where it leads in our quest for knowledge of God.
Step back to your old chemistry class and place before you an image, foggy as it may be, of the periodic table of elements. Do you remember the columns and rows and how all the known elements in the universe are represented here? Everything that we can see, through a microscope, through a telescope, or through our naked eyes, consists of the elements on this one-page table.
Knowing that all things are made of invisible atoms can change one's perspective of life. We live in a molecular soup. A close analogy is a picture on your computer screen. Viewed from across your desk, the picture makes sense. Move your eyes in real close and it's nothing but a chaotic mess of multicolored squares. Do likewise with real life and you've got just a mess of molecules.
But keep moving in and the mess begins to disappear. Recall from your chemistry class that all atoms are made of three things: protons, neutrons, and electrons. Remember, too, that the atomic weight of an atom exists in its nucleus, the center, which holds the protons and neutrons. Electrons, which weigh next to nothing, whiz about the nucleus at such tremendous speeds they form virtual shells. An atom gets its size, or volume, from this virtual shell. If you could expand an atom's size such that its nucleus measured one centimeter across, the closest electron's orbit would push out to a distance of one-half a kilometer. That's bigger than a baseball stadium! Between the electron shell and the nucleus is nothing.
Thus, everything you can see, including yourself, is 99.99% nothing. Truly "things which are seen" are not made of "things which do appear." The verse in Hebrews is dead-on accurate.
And now scientists are learning more about what's inside the nucleus. Protons and neutrons are made up of quarks, which move at super speeds creating energy and superficial mass. In other words, protons and neutrons, collectively named nucleons, have mostly empty space.
Is it possible to consider that this never ends? If we continue to zoom in, looking inside quarks, and inside of whatever we find there, will we discover more empty space? One could argue that the author of Hebrews was accurate only in his day. Two millennia ago microscopes did not exist; therefore, quarks and electrons truly did not appear. But does this verse maintain its accuracy even today? If all matter can be stripped down to nothing, then is the universe nothing but an image?
Here's where faith comes in, even to the modern day middle school graduate.
Read that Hebrews verse again: "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the WORD of God " (emphasis added.) This can be a perplexing thing to comprehend how does God create with words? But consider the novelist. Out of J.R.R. Tolkien's mind, and through his fingertips to words on paper, came the epic trilogy 'Lord of the Rings'. He created the world of Middle-earth, a place full of Hobbits, Orcs, and other creatures; a place so interesting and so alive that kids and adults alike are drawn into it for hours at a time. He literally spoke this new world into existence.
This is how God creates, obviously on a much grander scale than J.R.R. Tolkien. He speaks and things suddenly exist. "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." [Genesis 1:3] So if our physical world is made up of nothing "things which do not appear" then perhaps it exists somehow in God's imagination. It is His novel. Reality as we know it is tipped on end. Real reality is the spiritual world of God's, a place we cannot see through our filtered human eyes, but a place that exists all around us, even now.
Life is something much bigger and much grander than our human minds can comprehend. There is more on the "other side." There is Heaven, and it is not encumbered by the laws of physics, or the decay of time. It is the reality that we, as believers in Christ, will live in for all eternity. And when we're there it's quite possible we will look back on this life and shake our heads at our utter lack of understanding. For we will realize that the signs of God were always there, shining like beacons in the night. If only we had more faith to see them!

So it appears as we approach this time period of darkness before Jesus returns that we as Christians are responsible for our own oil, our own ability to see and navigate through this darkness, and to avoid the many traps and distractions that are set out there by the enemy to prevent us from gathering the necessary oil needed to make it through. Those that unwisely do not recognize the times that we are in will gather some oil, but are not nearly as focused as the wise virgins who gather a much greater amount of oil or fuel needed, may suffer an unexpected and undesired penalty of not making it in the soon to come rapture. . Jesus ended this parable by saying “Watch therefore...” We, I believe, are in the time period of just before the bridegroom’s return. How long will the bridegroom be delayed? We need to be sober and watchful and spend this time now studying the word and drawing and staying close to our Savior so as to not fall away and be taken up by this present darkness. So the truth of the matter is, it is therefore a more important matter of how we behave in this present darkness as opposed to the comparison of vast amounts of human energy spent on the understanding the nature of dark matter. The nature and behavior of dark matter or the matter of our behavior in this present darkness?
We see in the scientific world, that scientists are back-peddling and scrambling to explain the discrepancies of the universe with regards to the positioning of the galaxies and stars in the Big Bang theory. What I mean is that the Big Bang no longer explains the recent evidence that the scientists have recently found in the attempt to explain the universe’s expansion.
The discrepancy is specifically over how the expansion of the universe, how the galaxies and stars are not moving away from each other at a relatively equal rate with respect to an explosion pattern asserted by the Big Bang. The evidence shows an invisible glue of dark matter and energy holding stars and galaxies together in a different pattern than just an explosion pattern. There is a type of invisible gravitational energy glue which holds these galaxies and stars together.
To hear what the scientist are saying watch these short videos on dark matter. After you look at these videos we are going to show you what these invisible forces and invisible matter really are in general terms, and then we are going to show you what really matters about all of this in the first place. The gravitational lensing (video-definition) as the scientists in the videos explain may be due to “invisible composites of this stretched water”. Water can bend light and so I believe as time goes on the scientists may discover that invisible water is complementing the visible water that was stretched in the stretching of the universe in Genesis 1. (Another possibility is that dark matter is the collective remains of the Pre-Adamic or Gap theory's universe.) Yet light, when it was first physically created, was light energy, and the source of this light was the word of God. The original water in Genesis was also created from the word of God. These two ingredients physically are the batter of the matter, but the underlying energy working invisibly in the dark is the power of the Holy Spirit, yet this power is not an energy derived out of darkness, but a power and energy inherent in the glory of the Most High God, which is derived from light, for God is light.
Even scientists, if they open their minds and hearts, could personally experience the power of God in their own lives. They can go to an anointed church where the power of God is in operation and actually sense and feel the power and energy of God in a very gentle way as compared to the power it took to open up the Red Sea relatively. This power is the glue that is holding the universe together that is the living Word of God. Hebrews 1:1-3.

3. The bridegroom was delayed.
If we apply this to now in this time just before Jesus comes back there will be a delay of Jesus’ return. Some Christians, that is, candidate brides to be in the collective bride of Christ, will not make sure to take enough oil with them or reserved fuel for their lamps. The oil will run out and their lamps will be empty during this extended or delayed period of darkness. Other Christians will have thought ahead to make sure they have enough oil supply to keep their lamps lit in this time of deeper spiritual darkness. This means they will have gathered enough oil to enable them to continue seeing what’s going on around them.
The unwise virgins for fear of their lamps going out first tried to get it from the wise virgins and then went back to get some more oil or fuel for their lamps. The reason why the wise virgins appear selfish and were unwilling to share their oil was that they did not know how long this period of deeper darkness would be, before the bridegroom returned. They did not want to take the risk that they themselves would run out of fuel and not be able to see for themselves and thus not be ready for the bridegroom.
If God is so powerful, can He make a rock so big that even He could not move it?
It was Middle Eastern philosopher Averroes (Averroism) in the 11th century that asked this age old philosophical paradox. "Could an omnipotent being create a stone so heavy that even that being could not lift it?" If so, then it seems that the being could cease to be omnipotent; if not, it seems that the being was not omnipotent to begin with." Since we know that God is all-powerful, there is no limit to God's power, or is there? As human thinkers we would assume that God's power would exceed that of any rock he has created, so he could not create such a rock. However, if He were unable to create such a rock, then He would not be all-powerful. What then is the answer? Human beings are capable of creating things of such magnitude that we ourselves could not physically move them, so why not God. After all, anything we can do, God can do better. So the answer has to be overwhelmingly, yes! So how do you suppose we can say that? Can God truly create such a rock? The answer lies in the fact that He can and that He already has! Mathew 19:26 "....With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." When God creates and establishes things for a specific pupose, God will not go back against his word. In human beings God created in us, free will. It is this "free will" that becomes that "immovable rock". It is not so much a physical imposibility, but one in which God simply stands by that which He has decreed and for the purpose in which He created it.
